as with all patterns, you should always use the schematic to help you decide which size will give you the fit that you desire. the schematic gives you the actual size of the knitted garment when knit at the stated gauge. i am a huge fan of fitted garments. i can't stand sweaters that are loose and baggy, thus i design fitted sweaters. if you prefer a bit more ease you may want to knit the next larger size. be sure to check the schematic before buying yarn and casting on!
